What can one get a subsidy for?
The lift subsidy programme supports the removal of barriers in residential buildings, specifically:
Construction of a personal lift
in residential buildings that have not yet been equipped with lifts.
Replacement of an outdated lift
(older than 10 years) for a new, safer, and more efficient one.
Building modifications
to ensure barrier-free access to the lift.
Adjustments for visually impaired individuals
(tactile, auditory, and other orientation elements).
Who can apply?
Grants for lifts can be applied for by:
Building owners
(natural and legal persons)
Unit Owners' Association
(SVJ)
Block managers
Where did SVJ not arise
What is the amount of the subsidy?
Grants for lifts cover up to
600,000 CZK
eligible costs, whereby it may be
increased by up to 100,000 CZK
for full barrier-free access to all floors of the apartment building.
What is covered by the grant for lifts?
Purchase and installation of a new lift.
Construction and demolition work related to its assembly.
Interior modifications for people with disabilities.
Technical inspections and tests.
Financing for lift solutions
Loan up to
90 % of eligible costs

or modernisation of an existing one with an interest rate from 1 % to 3 % per year.
